Coming of age...
Of course, I'm sure every one has, is, of is yet to experience coming of age. Ever heard the phrase, "Time flies" or "they grow up so fast"? Of course. I think that we've all heard these. Over time, everyone changes. Mentally, physically. It's supposed to happen, and yet many people hate and dread time going by at all. Some people don't like change, others just don't like the idea that their setting won't be the way it is forever. People think that it's mostly teens and preteens that feel this sobering thing that is growing up, but it really isn't true. when elderly people can no longer drive, see or walk, they can realize that their golden years are closer than they thought they would be. People who turn forty or fifty, realize how fast that half of their life has already left. People who are nineteen, twenty, twenty one or twenty two comprehend that they are no longer the partying, care free teenagers that they once were, but now must take on responsibility and move on from everything that they know. We are not the only people experiencing this. We are just experiencing it for the first time. Coming of age is completely inevitable, but it is adaptable. It may come with sadness, but with it comes good change as well. Getting a car. Earning trust. Comprehending easier. Understanding. Coming of age is not something to be depressed about. It is simply change in your setting. So don't let the time you have be wasted, live it to its fullest so when you row older, you have no regrets.
